Counsellor, Child Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer

Carley Morrell is a clinically registered counsellor and child therapist who works from a person-centred perspective and who holds a deep respect for the uniqueness of each person she works with. She has clinical experience supporting children, young people and adults who have been impacted by significant life changes, chronic stress, trauma, grief, depression and anxiety. Throughout her career she has supported children, young people and their families in a range of settings including education, community-based youth programs and specialist counselling services.

Carley believes that, regardless of age, each person has the capacity to grow and thrive. She offers a compassionate and responsive counselling space built around a safe, respectful therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology)
  • Graduate Diploma in Education
  • Master of Counselling
  • Advanced Clinical Training in Play Therapy
  • Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma

Clinical Member: Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
Associate Member: Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA)

Services provided:

Carley provides individual counselling for children, young people and adults to promote healthy emotional, cognitive, social and pro social development, self-compassion and empowerment.

She also provides child-parent relationship therapy, to support families to build secure, connected relationships as they grow together.

Carley is experienced in providing group therapy for the areas mentioned above.
