Lauran McIlwain

Lauran provides counselling to individuals across a range of populations. Her approach is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy and integrates other models to suit the needs of her clients, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). More recently she has started training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFST) which offers an experiential therapy.

Lauran brings the values of respect, curiosity and compassion to her practice to provide a safe place to explore and resolve distress related to, relationship issues, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, substance misuse and vocational/workplace concerns.

Lauran has three years of experience providing counselling to individuals, couples, groups, in student, relationship counselling and employment service settings.

  • Bachelor of Sustainability (community development and Australian Indigenous studies
  • Master of Counselling
